While continuing with the monthly beach clean ups, Brittas Bay Coastcare are also engaged in coastal erosion activities and adding a coastal theme to the R750 by planting marram grass patches under the road signs. We are also preparing for the Pure Mile contest which is aimed at making Brittas Bay more attractive to tourist and resident alike.

Dont forget: Brittas Bay Coastcare group will hold a Family Fun Day and Sand Sculpturing Competition on Sunday 6th November between 2-4pm. Access through South Beach Car Park. Weather promises to be fine. Trophies galore. Refreshments available.

This months event focussed on the remains of a campsite in the dunes behind the south beach car park. The group presented Wicklow County Council Caretaker Mick Ryan with an honorary baseball cap with the coastcare logo in gratiitude of his work for the last 26 years and his courtesy to the coastcare group. Enjoy your retirement well earned Mick.

The group aided by Ned Clarke and family from Friends of the Murrough took part in todays event.
