Ennereilly Beach

Thanks to Wicklow County Council for removing the bags of litter at the entrance to Ennereilly Beach. Brittas Bay Coastcare was happy to bring this matter to their attention.

Pure Mile Project

As an entrant in the Pure Mile Competiton, a rural tidy towns thing,  Brittas Bay Coastcare are beautifying the coast road along Brittas. Here they can be seen renovating the local village pump at Brittas Bridge, the old focal point of Brittas Bay community. The pump is beside Potters River and near a Lotts shop, the old school and the ruins of a mill. The work is voluntary and dependent on donations. If you cant help with labour or machinery, a donation would be most helpful.

Brittas Bay Coastcare have been cleaning a number of campsites in the North Beach area. As the photos show, there was a lot of broken glass and abandoned camping gear. This took a sustained effort lasting several evenings. Although camping is forbidden in the sanddune area, there is little doubt that same areas will be used again before the end of the summer.
